Since 2007, Sandblast has devoted its energy to art skill-sharing projects in the refugee camps.

These have included:

• Two design workshops to teach women jewellery making skills using discarded plastic bottles and hot sand led by MA student Florie Salnot at Royal College of Arts. Read more about Florie’s project here.
• A week-long dance performance workshop with professional dancers by world reknown contemporary dancer and choreographer Tayeb Benamara
• A ten-day concert performance workshop with professional Saharawi musicians led by bassist, composer, producer Mohamed Hafsi
• Short introductory workshops in acting and film production in partnership with Caravanserai Productions
